Real People...Real Stories

We’ve entitled this section “Inspirations” because that is the effect the patients you will meet below, have on both our staff and the people that surround them in their daily lives.

While our patients may share a physical need, each one goes about living life their own way. One patient’s goal may be to run a marathon, for another it may be the ability to get out and feel the dirt between their fingers each day as they garden. For some, it may be pain management to assist with a difficult physical condition. Whatever the goal, BioMetrics is committed to being there for our patients each step of their journey.

It’s always amazing to see how different prosthetic patients deal with the same or similar issues. Some patients take ownership of their prosthesis and customize them with artwork or silk screening. Others prefer a more discreet approach and want their prosthesis to match their remaining limb. Some prosthetic wearers enjoy displaying the amazing technology that allows them to pursue their physical goals, while others enjoy the sense of privacy they get from wearing slacks. Whatever the choice, we recognize that the only person a patient need to please is themself.

Orthotic patients have a range of needs from basic foot support to incredibly involved full body support systems. These patients too, decide for themselves how to approach their needs and how they incorporate their orthoses into their lives.

Please take some time to see how these individuals who have entrusted their care to BioMetrics meet their daily challenges and live life on their terms.
